You Are What You Eat.

Happy Monday everyone!!!

 

I’ve been talking a lot about stress lately and wanted to share a simple thing that we can all do to help lower the stress in our bodies, minds and spirits.

Do you know the three things that cause stress?

No? Ok, its easy! They are traumas, toxins and thoughts.

Today I want to talk about toxins. This is a big topic with lots of ins and outs, but today I want to focus on one piece of the toxins …FOOD. Yes, food. I know it’s a loaded issue. But here’s the deal… what we put in our bodies is so important. The old saying “You are what you eat”, is so true. Many of our bodies cells turnover very rapidly and are replaced with what we eat.

Simply put, eat less junk and add in some real organic food when possible. Eat real food!!

One thing we can do to pick better food is to work off the Dirty Dozen and the Clean 15.

The dirty dozen are foods we should buy organic whenever possible because they have been tested and contain a lot of pesticides and other toxins.

The clean 15 are foods that have been tested and are “safe” to buy not organic.
